Our History

The roots of today's School of Natural Sciences departments trace back to the founding of TUM in 1868. The successful development of research institutes and disciplines has relied on the foresight of individual figures, and the history of Bioscience, Physics and Chemistry at TUM is marked by numerous outstanding personalities.
