Your way to us

The TUM School of Natural Sciences and the research campus Garching are well connected by public transport as well as by car. Located in the north of Munich, Garching is the largest TUM campus.

Plan your visit

You can use NaviTUM to look for rooms in all TUM buildings (auditorien, offices, labs, etc.) and to have a look at the corresponding overview and site plans of their locations.

There are direct public transport connections from within the Munich area via subway or bus. The TUM School of Natural Sciences is located less than 500 m north-east of the subway station “Garching-Forschungszentrum” of line U6.

From Munich city

The Campus Garching is directly served by subway U6 to final destination “Garching-Forschungszentrum”, the trip takes about 25  minutes

From Munich airport

You reach us with suburban train S1 to Neufahrn and then via bus 690 to “Garching-Forschungszentrum”

You can find further information on the network plan and prices at the web pages of the transport services Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV).

The research campus Garching can be reached by the highway “A9” and is located right at the exit 70 “Garching-Nord”.

From Munich

Take the highway A9 towards Nuremberg/Nürnberg, exit 70 “Garching-Nord” and follow the signs to “Forschungszentrum”

From Nuremberg or Munich airport

Take highway A9 towards Munich/München, exit 70 “Garching-Nord” and follow the signs to “Forschungszentrum”
