Precision Engineering Workshop in Physics

The precision engineering workshop manufactures components and devices used in the laboratory that are not commercially available. For all custom-made projects, the precision engineering workshop employees work closely with the scientists, fulfilling even the most demanding requirements.

Many scientific applications require complex, customized components manufactured using state-of-the-art metalworking machines. Image: Johannes Wiedersich / TUM

Precision Engineering in Physics (building 5100)

Only with a dedicated team is it possible to manufacture complex parts precisely and within the right timeframe. You can rely on our employees.

Location in Physics (building 5100)

  • Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00
  • Friday until 12:00

The workshop is usually open from 07:00. You can find us in the basement of the main Physics building at James-Franck-Str. 1 (5101.U1.321).

Without state-of-the-art machines, precise and prompt production of complex components would not be possible.
