Dr. Terrance J. Hadlington, TUM Junior Fellow at the TUM School of Natural Sciences, has been awarded the Ernst Haage Prize 2025. The prize, presented by the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (MPI CEC), honors outstanding scientific achievements by young researchers in the field of chemical energy research.
Dr. Hadlington is recognized for his work at the interface of main-group and transition-metal chemistry. His research focuses on so-called single-center ambiphile ligands, which open up new pathways to make low-energy molecules such as ammonia or hydrogen chemically accessible in an efficient way. These findings contribute to the development of sustainable and climate-friendly energy systems.
The award ceremony will take place on November 7, 2025, in the main lecture hall of the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
Congratulations to Dr. Hadlington on this achievement!
