Dynamic, competence-oriented, and at the cutting edge – the teaching of the future is being shaped at TUM. Who knows better what it takes than our students, teaching staff, and alumns. The TUM Future Learning Initiative aims to support their projects and implement their ideas. The Freunde der TUM – Association of Alumni and Friends is providing a total of 20,000 euros for this purpose. Proposals can be submitted until 31 May.

Creative concepts for study and teaching

President Thomas F. Hofmann launched the TUM Future Learning Initiative in 2020 – now, it is entering its third round. The competition seeks to find and promote innovative approaches and projects that will further improve study and teaching at TUM and benefit as many members of the TUM community as possible.

All TUM students, teaching staff, and alums are invited to submit their projects by 31 May. Details on the competition and proposal requirements can be found at www.tum.de/future-learning.

Project funding by Freunde der TUM – Association of Alumni and Friends

All proposals will be reviewed by a top-class jury: Members of TUM’s Board of Management, of the specialist departments for study and teaching, of Freunde der TUM, and student representatives will select the TUM Future Learning Award winners. Decisive factors are the feasibility of the projects, the greatest possible benefit for TUM students and teachers, and eligibility for funding in accordance with the statutes of the Freunde der TUM – Association of Alumni and Friends.

Thanks to Freunde der TUM, the TUM Future Learning Initiative has a budget of 20,000 euros at its disposal that will help kickstart the awarded projects – so they can shape the future of study and teaching at TUM.
