TUM School of Natural Sciences

The School of Natural Sciences is directed by its Dean, Vice Deans and Heads of Department. Its Executive Board presides over the administration, which supports  professors in all matters concerning HR and finances. 

Organizational chart

The TUM School of Natural Sciences stands for scientific excellence and innovative teaching – supported by a clear, future-oriented structure. At the top is the Executive Board, consisting of the Dean and four Vice Deans, who are responsible for key areas such as research, education & teaching, IT, and talent management & diversity. 

Executive Board

The School Executive Board is the governing body of the School. It consists of the Dean, the Vice-Deans and the Department Heads.

Departments

Our research activities are bundled in three departments: Bioscience, Chemistry, and Physics. Each department is led by a Head of Department, and each professorship in our School belongs to one of these departments. 

School Office

The organization at the TUM School of Natural Sciences is supported by a dedicated School Office, which efficiently manages all operational processes with specialized teams ranging from communications and talent development to academic advising.

School Council

The School Council represents the interests of all groups of persons within the TUM School of Natural Sciences and makes decisions on matters of fundamental relevance.
